Cupuacu butter is made from the pulp of fruit from the Cupuacu Tree, and is originally from the Amazonian rain forest in Northern Brazil. It easily absorbs into hair and retains 161% more moisture than shea butter. Cupuacu butter is also rich in antioxidants and can absorb harmful UVA/UVB rays to keep your hair strands strong and healthy. Cupuacu also contains a high flavonoid concentration which can help to neutralize free-radicals in the environment.

The kokum tree, also called the red mangosteen tree grows in the Ghats region of India. The seed of the kokum fruit produces butter that is rich in essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, and polyunsaturated fats that aid in moisture retention and protects against breakage by enhances the elasticity of your hair. Also rich in antioxidant vitamin E, kokum butter helps protect the hair and scalp against free radicals and toxins. Kokum butter is light and non-pore clogging leaving your hair feeling soft, but not greasy.

Packed with fatty acids and vitamin A and E, mango butter is rich in essential fatty acids that promote elasticity and breakage prevention. Mango butter is high in oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that promotes cell repair and controls water-loss in the hair follicle. Also a non-greasy non-pore clogging butter, mango butter will leave both skin and hair hydrated but not weighed down.

Cocoa butter comes from beans of the cacao tree. Cocoa butter is a super moisturizer and can easily penetrate strands due to its high content of fatty acids. Cocoa butter is also high in polyphenols with improve water retention and elasticity. Cocoa butter has also ben known to assist in soothing skin irritations from eczema and dermatitis.

Shea also has conditioning properties due to it’s high concentration of fatty acids like (oleic, stearic, linoleic acids).
